  • 1998-2003: B.Sc. in Geology-Geography, Babeş-Bolyai University, Faculty of Biology and Geology, Hungarian line of study (Cluj-Napoca, Romania).

  • January-June 2004: Affiliate short term student at the Department of Earth Sciences, UCL (London, UK)
  • 2004-2008: Ph.D. student, Department of Geology, Babeş-Bolyai University (Cluj-Napoca, Romania). Title of the thesis: Sarmatian foraminiferal assemblages from Southern Transylvania, and their significance for the reconstruction of sedimentary facies. The thesis was defended in June 2010. Scientific supervisor: Prof. dr. Ioan I. Bucur.

V. Scientific activity:

  • 2006-2008: coordinator of the “Sarmatian foraminiferal assemblages from Southern Transylvania, and their significance for the reconstruction of sedimentary facies” research program sponsored by Romanian National University Research Council (C.N.C.S.I.S.), Romania.
  • 2008: member of the “Facies, age and paleoenvironmental significance of the marly-type deposits from Fâşca area (Pădurea Craiului, Apuseni Mountains)” research program. Project leader: Prof. dr. Ioan I. Bucur.
